EMBRACE THE PHILOSOPHY
Coaching is a key ingredient of success
Transitional and Transformative Coaching
When State orders concerning COVID-19 resulted in the shutdown of the GenerateTech, which I founded in 2018, I immediately knew that I had to become creative and continue to lead with confidence. I was not going to let uncertainty and negativity stymie the progress of the past two years or thwart the promise of 2020, but I had to first find motivation in the face of the permanent closure of well-established businesses. Having unofficially coached others in times of doubt, conflict and inertia to restore their resolve and to help them solve problems, I quickly determined that my seeking executive coaching would be the prudent thing to do. To best meet this need and to be able to help others, I began studying to become a Certified Executive Coach. The insights I gleaned from my studies coupled with the lessons learned from my unofficial involvement in the lives of others as a coach gave me the inspiration and impetus I needed to emerge as a better leader. Instead of cowering and embracing the possibility of closure, I am now able to channel my creativity, block out negativity, refocus the organization's program and lead with conviction and clarity. The leader I have become will always be even if the company, with all my effort, energy and erudition, is eventually forced to close due to the ongoing pandemic.

To best meet this need and to be able to help others, I began studying to become a Certified Executive Coach. The insights I gleaned from my studies, coupled with the lessons learned from prior coaching experiences, gave me the inspiration and impetus I needed to emerge as a better leader. Instead of cowering and embracing the possibility of closure, I was able to channel my creativity, block out negativity, refocus the organization's strategy and lead with conviction and clarity. The leader I have become will always be since coaching has transformed my life. I do not see GenerateTech closing following its establishment in Rockdale County as the company has gone through a myriad of policy, programs and best practice transitions to be able to train students in 2022.

By making coaching a part of GenerateTech's programs, many high school juniors and seniors and college students will be able to receive help with their career choices, internships, job-hunting and interviewing needs.
